Baseball
The Tigers hosted the Lone Tree Lions on Monday, June 30th. Sixteen runs later, the Tigers left the field with a convincing 16-1 victory. The Tigers had three 5-run innings as they mauled Lone Tree.
With 21 at-bats, they produced 11 hits. Gavin Strawhacker batted 1.000. He went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and scored four runs. Memphis Watson went two-for-three and added four stolen bases. Others getting hits were Tate Welcher, Gage Burden, Riley Raines, and Cale Westerbeck. Way to go guys!
The Tigers played 1A substate 5 first round on July 5 on their home field against Wapello. They won by a 4-1 score.
The Tiger batting 1.000 this game was Riley Raines. He went two-for-two with an RBI and a run. Memphis Watson went three-for-four and had three stolen bases. He was also the winning pitcher.
Everyone is rooting for the Tigers as they continue in the tournament.
Softball
The Tigers played at home on July 2. Their opponent was Holy Trinity. The final score was the Crusaders-5 — Tigers-0. No individual stats were available.
The softball team traveled to Hillcrest. It was a tough night for the Tigers, losing 13-5. No individual stats were available.
