Varsity Girls Basketball
On Tuesday, Jan. 21 the Tigers traveled to Central Lee to take on the Hawks. The Lady Tigers were held to single digits in all four quarters as their scoring woes continued. The final score was 63-23.
Mylee Miller once again led the Tigers with 14 points. She added five rebounds and three blocked shots. Megan Lee had five points and seven rebounds. Shay Wilka and Morgan Jones each had two points. Jones added five steals and Wilka added two rebounds.
On Friday, Jan. 24, the Tigers were hosted by the Mediapolis Bulldogs (16-1). The half time score was 54-12 and the final was 73-22.
Megan Lee was the leading scorer with nine points. Mylee Miller scored eight points and pulled down seven rebounds. Morgan Jones had three points and three steals. Shay Wilka added two points and had four rebounds.
Varsity Boys Basketball
The boys team started the game against Central Lee with a strong performance. At the half, the score was Hawks — 29, Tigers — 26. But the third quarter sealed their doom. The Tigers could only muster seven points to Central Lee’s 17. The 4th quarter was won by Central Lee by only one point. The final was 60-46.
Brigham Porter had a big night scoring 25 points to lead the Tigers. London Franklin had 10 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Gavin Strawhacker added five and Israel Lemley and Dylan Burden each had three.
Friday night at Mediapolis was the same situation. The Tigers stayed close, but then hit a dry spell and seemed to lose confidence and were quickly 10 points and more behind. The final score was 65-43.
Brigham Porter had 12 points. London Franklin added 11 and Israel Lemley had 10. Others scoring were Gavin Strawhacker — 5, Carter Adams — 3, and Cole Swanson — 2. London Franklin was the leading rebounder with seven.
JV Boys Basketball
The week didn’t go as hoped, but the boys played hard and learned. Never give up fellas!
Varsity Wrestling
The Mediapolis team hosted a triangular on Jan. 23 with New London and Highland. As a team the Tigers lost to Mediapolis 51-17 and to Highland 43-21. Gage Burden and Gavin Menke-Bailey each went 2-0 on the night.
On Saturday, Jan. 25, the Tigers competed in the L&M Invitational. The individual results follow:

- Liam Garvey — 5th
