JV Boys Basketball
The JV boys had a great week! They beat Holy Trinity on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 42-23 and Danville on Friday night, Jan. 31, 43-39. Way to work together guys!!!
Varsity Girls Basketball
The Tigers were only down to the Crusaders at half time by five points, 25-20. At the end of the third quarter, the score was 32-28. The Tigers were in the game as the fourth quarter started. But Holy Trinity rallied and outscored the Tigers 23 to 12 and won the game 55-40.
Leading the Tigers was Mylee Miller with 18 points, eight rebounds, and five blocked shots. Right behind was Megan Lee with 17 points, three rebounds and two steals. Morgan Jones added two points, eight rebounds, and five steals. Shay Wilka and Molly Proost combined for three to round out the scoring.
On Friday, Jan. 31, the team traveled to Danville to battle the Bears. It was a really tough night for the Tigers as they scored 17 points to Danville’s 74. The fourth quarter was tough on both teams as the Tigers didn’t score and Danville only scored nine.
Mylee Miller had nine points. Megan Lee scored four with six rebounds. Morgan Jones and Molly Proost each scored two.
Varsity Boys Basketball
The boys followed the same script as the girls at Holy Trinity. At half time the Tigers were only down by seven, 29-22, but they only scored 14 points to the Crusaders’ 51 in the second half time. The final was 80-36.
The Friday night game was at Danville. The first half was a slow start for the Tigers. They were down 35-17. They played much better in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to lift the Tigers to victory. The final score was 68-46.

Varsity Wrestling
The Tigers traveled to Burlington on Jan. 30 to wrestle at Notre Dame. The Nikes’ team score against the Tigers was 72-6. Gage Burden had three wins for his team, and Corbin Jacobs-Jewell, Gavin Menke-Bailey, and Killian Kelly each had two wins.
The SEISC wrestling tournament was Feb. 1. Gage Burden finished 2nd; Gavin Menke-Bailey finished 2nd; Corbin Jacobs-Jewell finished 5th; and Riley Merschman finished 5th.
On Feb. 15, the post season starts with districts at Wilton. The state tournament is Feb. 19-22. Wrestlers need to place in the top two to move on to state.
