Boys and Girls Golf
The boys and girls golf teams traveled to Sheaffer Memorial Golf Park on April 28 to take on the Holy Trinity Crusaders. As a team, the boys shot a 213. HTC carded a 186 taking the victory by 27 strokes.
Israel Lemley shot a 47, low for the Tigers. Other scores were Archer Bonnesen-54, Riley Raines-54, Sullivan Barron-58, and Memphis Watson — 60.
The girls’ team shot a 208, beating HTC by 25 strokes. Katelyn Allen and Emma Busby were low for the Tigers with a 51. Stevey Wintermeyer and Sydney Kracht each carded a 53, Morgan Jones shot a 67, and Isabella Busby finished with a 73.
On April 30, the Tigers played Notre Dame at Deerwood Golf course. For the boys, the Nikes won 162 — 194. Barron shot a 43, low for the Tigers. Lemley shot a 49, Bonnesen — 50, Watson — 52, Raines — 58.
The Tiger girls got the victory, beating Notre Dame 209 to 221. E. Busby had a great night scoring a 47. Wintermeyer had a 52, I. Busby — 55, Kracht — 55, Allen — 56, and Jones — 66.
Varsity Boys Soccer
The D-NL Bears traveled to Fairfield to play the Trojans on April 30. Fairfield scored three goals to Danville’s one in the first period. It proved to be enough as Fairfield won 3 — 2. D-NL’s Colin Pealer scored both of his team’s goals.
On Friday, May 2, the Bears played Wapello. They came away with a dominant win, 11-1. Trevor Yaley scored two goals, Colin Pealer had four, Jason Kruse — one, Jacob Miller — two, and Kaiden Kerr — two. Way to go!
