Taylor Phillips, daughter of Mike and Jodi Phillips, was named the Hawk-Eye’s Girl Golfer of the Year as she ends her prep career as the Class 1A individual state champion. She finished her season undefeated. She was eighth as a freshman, third as a sophomore and was state runner-up as a junior. She joins her dad in the championship circle. Mike Phillips Jr., was a two-time state champion in the 90s for the Tigers. Phillips will play golf and pursue her academic goals next year at the University of Dubuque. Congratulations on a stellar year!!!
New London’s own Colin Pealer was SEI Super Conference Player of the Year. He was also named to the 2024 All Hawk-Eye Boys’ soccer team in the forward position. Coach Eric Pealer was SEI Super Conference Coach of the Year as he guided the Danville-New London Boys’ Soccer Team to a great season. Congratulations Coach Pealer and Colin Pealer on an impressive season!
The New London Tiger Trap Team attended the state meet. Kane Forseen was Iowa SCTP (Scholastic Clay Target Program) Doubles State Champion. Tyler Sours finished 4 th at State in league scores. Tucker Syfert and Evelyn Adams shot 25 straight for the first time. Congratulations all!
