Tiger Sports Update

JV Boys Basketball
The JV suffered their second loss to the Mediapolis Bulldogs. The final score was 43 to 47. They had a good comeback and fought hard. Keep workin’ Tigers! They are now 3-2.
Varsity Boys Basketball
On Tuesday, Dec. 16, the Tigers traveled to Donnellson to take on the Central Lee Hawks. The Tigers were held to 19 points in the first three quarters. Both teams scored 12 in the fourth quarter, but Central Lee had the game well in hand, winning 58 to 31.
Brigham Porter scored 12 points and pulled down five rebounds. Right behind was Israel Lemley with 11. Cole Swanson had four points, nine rebounds, and four steals and a block. London Franklin and Dylan Burden each has two.
On Friday, Dec. 19, the boys were on the road again to take on the (5-2) Bulldogs. The Tigers scored much better … but so did Mediapolis. The final score was 84 to 57.
Brigham Porter had 15 points to lead the Tigers. He added two steals. Cole Swanson added 10 points, five rebounds, and two blocks. London Franklin contributed eight points, Israel Lemley — 7, Kye Reigard and Dylan Burden — five each, Riley Raines — 4, and Gavin Strawhacker — 3.
The Tigers played better, but need to do more. Keep workin’ it’s a long season.
Varsity Girls Basketball
At Central Lee, the Lady Tigers played hard, but lost 58 to 25. Paige Shull-Collins led the Tigers 12 points, two steals, and two rebounds. Senior Molly Proost had six points and for assists. Megan Lee added five points, four rebounds and one steal. Evelyn Adams scored two points, four rebounds, and two steals.
On Friday, Dec. 19 found the Tigers in Mediapolis facing the undefeated Bulldogs. It was a tough game. At half time, the girls were down by 52 points. The final score was 76 to 13. No individual stats were available.
Varsity Wrestling
The Tigers wrestled at the two day Ft. Madison Invitational over the weekend. Kane Forseen and Riley Merschman led the Tigers with 8th place finishes. Way to go Tigers! Merry Christmas to all the Tiger faithful!
