Tigers Excel at SEI National Guard Fitness Camp

The 12th annual Southeast Iowa National Guard Fitness Camp was held last week at the Middletown Armory on June 12-15. New London was well represented and the students committed to intense workouts over the course of the four-day camp. They completed various exercises and ran at least 9.6 miles. They were joined by coaches Ms. Parks and Mrs. Swailes, who challenged themselves as well as cheering on the students.

By day three, their legs were tired and their bodies were ready to break from the intense workouts, but they didn’t quit. Their hard work was rewarded as they took the top spot for small schools by having the most students and coaches attending for the four days. That’s a true testament to commitment! Way to go Tigers!
