Trent Wilkerson
May. 4, 2023 2:23 pm
Trent Wilkerson became a Tiger his sophomore year and his impact on football and wrestling were immediate. He had joined an athletic class of boys and contributed to their success.
Trent was born on Aug. 14, 2004. He was born to Mark and Dawn Wilkerson and was later joined by siblings Afton and Adlin. His grandparents are Ruth and Tom Mcallister and Dick and Linda Wilkerson.
His athletic ability has been greatly rewarded:
•All-Union — football and wrestling.
•All-Hawk Eye — football and wrestling.
•Conference Champ — wrestling.
•District MVP — football.
•State Qualifier — wrestling.
He was also a member of the 2022 Homecoming Court.
Trent’s favorite activities include hunting, fishing, and sports.
When asked to share his most special memory, Trent picked the 2021 Winfield football game. His most disappointing moment was losing to a JV kid at Fort Madison.
The class Trent joined is special because “it’s a big class.” His advice to the underclassmen is “stay outta trouble.”
Trent chose for his special person his dad Mark. The reason is because his dad is a great role model for Trent.
Very excited to graduate, Coe College, football, and a business major are all part of Trent’s future plans, Tiger Nation will miss Trent’s sports ability, but even more the great kid he is. Here’s wishing Trent the best of luck next year and every success!
