Volleyball
On Thursday, Sept. 19, the Tigers hosted the Class 1A’s fourth-ranked Holy Trinity volleyball team. They swept the Tigers 25-9, 25-12, 25-7. There were no individual stats available.
The JH team traveled to Danville to take on the Bears. The 7th grade Tigers won with scores of 21-12 and 21-12. The 8th grade lost 17-21, 21-17, and 13-15.
Football
The Tigers made the long trek to Central City on Friday, Sept. 20. They faced a tough Wildcat team, and didn’t get on the scoreboard until the fourth quarter. The final score was Central City — 46/Tigers — 20.
Gavin Menke-Bailey was 2/4 passing for 29 yards and one interception. London Franklin was 2/5 passing for 25 yards and one TD to Cale Westerbeck. Franklin carried the ball 30 times for 105 yards and two TDs.
Leading the defense was Menke-Bailey with seven solo tackles. London Franklin had four solo tackles as did Riley Raines. Logan Franklin, Corbin Jacobs-Jewell, and Brigham Porter each had three.
