Vegas J. Watson
Apr. 20, 2023 12:25 pm, Updated: Apr. 26, 2023 8:49 am
Vegas entered this world on May 11, 2005 to Ryan and Martha Watson. He was later joined by his “little” brother Memphis. His proud grandparents are Cindy and Curt Watson and Kathy and Bob Swindell.
Vegas has been a Tiger since 7th grade. He has participated in baseball and golf. When he’s not busy at school, he likes going to the Function.
He was a member of the 2022 Class 1A Champion Baseball team which he calls a privilege. It is also his most favorite high school memory.
His most embarrassing moment was on the baseball field too. He relates, “After Josh Catala hit a walk-off hit to win the substate game. Gavin kicked a bucket of baseballs into my shin and I tripped and fell while trying to join the dogpile … all in front of the entire crowd.”
Vegas modestly says that the special thing about the Class of 2023 is that he’s in it. His advice to the underclassmen is “pick up a side hustle.”
The people Vegas would like to recognize are “Z” and Josie Bain. He thanks “Z” for always keeping him in line and Josie for always putting a smile on his face.
As the school year ticks away, Vegas still has golf matches and baseball games to play.
His future plans are to attend Northwest Iowa Community College and become a lineman…all with Cauy Garrett.
Tiger Nation sends their best wishes to Vegas as he starts the next chapter of his life.
