Join the VFW Post 7641 Auxiliary in New London, Iowa for an Independence Day parade. The parade will honor all Quilt of Valor recipients on special floats. If you would like to join the parade, pick up an entry form at VFW 7641 post or email Diana Klaus at sniper2@mchsi.com to receive a digital copy of the form.
Everyone is invited to create an entry in the parade. All youth, adults, sports teams, first responders, tractor owners, classic car enthusiasts and organizations — this is a great time to show your patriotism and gratitude to our veterans. Help celebrate our nation’s birthday and show your hometown spirit.
At 10 a.m. July Fourth the parade will proceed from the High School. The “regular” parade route will be used. After traveling west on Main Street, the parade will proceed south on Pine Street to the Care Center. As the parade returns it will turn east on Thompson Street and back to the High School.
