VFW Post 7641 Holds Veterans Day Observance

Commander Dave McGregor called the group attending the Veterans Day remembrance to order. The post chaplain read a prayer honoring the occasion. After the Pledge of Allegiance and singing of the national anthem, he presented a short program commemorating Veterans Day.

McGregor used the words to the Pledge of Allegiance to remind everyone of the meaning of Veterans Day. Veterans Day commemorates the service of all those who have served their country. After Commander McGregor completed his remarks, the VFW Auxiliary welcomed Kenton Cole as the newest member. A wreath honoring Veterans Day was presented and placed on display in the VFW. The audience then retired outdoors where the three-volley salute was fired. Following the salute, taps was beautifully played to end the service.
