Volleyball Makes its Debut

New London’s volleyball team started its season on Sept. 4 at the WACO tournament. The Lady Tigers took on the Fairfield Trojans. The Trojans won 2-0 with game scores of 21-17 and 21-14.
On offense, Kyla Schwenker had six assists and two kills. Maison Nelson had four kills, and Makenna Jacobsmeier two.
Defensively, Olivia Romer and Evelyn Adams each had two assists and two blocked shots. Molly Proost had seven digs, Marilanna Woodsmall had 5, and Maison Nelson added four.
Proost and Jacobsmeier led the Tigers with 100% serving.
Next up for the Tigers was Cardinal. This time the tables were turned with the Tigers taking the match 2-0 with the game scores of 21-18 and 21-11. No individual stats were available.
The Tigers last match of the night was against WACO. The Tigers lost both games by a 21-15 score. No individual stats were available.
