Volleyball Roundup

The Tigers had two matches last week. The first was against the Van Buren County Warriors on Sept. 12 at NLHS The Tigers had opportunities to win the match, but fell just short in two games. The game scores were Van Buren 25 - 25 - 23 - 25/ New London 14 - 23 - 25 - 22.

On offense, Katelyn Allen had 23 assists and two kills. Tysann Gipple added 15 kills and Sophie Malott had seven. Morgan Jones had four kills and Kayla Strawhacker added three.

Defensively Jones and Lillie Gallup each had 21 digs. Gipple added 19 and Malott and Strawhacker each added 10. Gipple and Malott were perfect from the service line with Sophie serving up four aces. Gallup had three aces and Allen added two.

On Sept. 14, the Tigers traveled to Mediapolis to take on the Bulldogs. Once again, the Tigers were so close. The game scores were Tigers 19-25-19-18/ Mediapolis 25-15-25-25. No individual stats were available at press time.
