Girls Basketball
Friday the 13th continued to prove unlucky at Charles Lorber gymnasium as the Tigers fell to the Notre Dame Nikes. The girls lost 33-14. Mylee Miller was the leading scorer with six points. She also had seven rebounds and three blocks. Molly Proost and Megan Lee each had three points. Proost also had three rebounds and two steals. Lee added four rebounds. Morgan Jones had two points, four rebounds, and three steals. Maison Nelson pulled down five rebounds.
Boys Basketball
The boys team came up short also, losing 77-42. The Tigers had a hard time getting started, only scoring four points in the first quarter to Notre Dame’s 23.
Sophomore Riley Raines had a big night as he exploded for 15 points. He made three 3-pointers and was 2/2 from the free throw line.
Tate Welcher added 11 points and three steals. Brigham Porter added six points and a steal. Gavin Strawhacker and Israel Lemley each had five points.
Wrestling
The wrestlers were at home on Dec. 12. They went 2-1 in duals. They won 48-18 over Lone Tree and 41-23 over Wapello, but lost 42-29 to Montezuma.
Corbin Jacobs-Jewell and Killian Kelly both went 3-0. Gavin Menke-Bailey and Gage Burden each won two matches. Liam Garvey and Kane Forseen each won a match for the Tigers. The North Cedar match up was canceled.
