Washington County 4-H seeks to honor the group’s senior members by shining the spotlight on each one as they near the end of their 4-H journey. Today the spotlight shines on Adyson Gerot.
Hometown: Ainsworth
Parents: Dave and Jeanna Gerot
School: Highland High School
4-H Club: Highlanders
Projects: Dairy goats, horse, clothing and photography
4-H Activities: mentoring for clover kids, pet drives for the shelter, shopping for families at the holidays, sewing bags for the church mission.
Special 4-H Memory: 4-H youth conference at Iowa State and meeting new people
Reflection on 4-H: “I believe others should join 4-H because it gives them a chance to connect with new people and learn skills through different workshops and opportunities their club may offer.”
Other Activities: National Honors Society, football cheer, wrestling cheer, dance team, and student council
Future Plans: Attend Iowa State University and major in elementary education
