Washington County 4-H seeks to honor the group’s senior members by shining the spotlight on each one as they near the end of their 4-H journey. Today the spotlight shines on Ava Greiner.

4-H Club: 76 Progressives
Projects: Sheep, Cattle, Goats, Photography, Food and Nutrition, Clothing, Entomology, Veterinary Science, Communications, Horticulture, and Family Consumer Science.
4-H Activities: Clover Kid Sheep and Clothing Mentor, and County Council.
Special 4-H memory/highlight: My special 4-H memory is going to the Pizza Ranch for my clubs annual March meeting. All of the members in my club enjoy this meeting, because of how much we get to socialize.
Please write a few complete sentences about what you learned in 4-H, or why others should join 4-H.
“4-H is an amazing program to be a part of. It has given me the opportunity to meet new people, discover interesting areas, and develop leadership skills. 4-H is a program that has something to offer for everyone; anyone can do anything. During my time in 4-H I have been able to be involved with my community and learn from my leaders. I strongly recommend joining 4H; I promise you won’t regret it!”
Other Activities: Basketball, Volleyball, Track, Golf, Cheerleading, Student Council, NHS, PAC, Speech, Plays, Musicals, Show Choir, DARE Role Model, CYM, FFA, and State Agriscience fair.
Future plans: I plan to attend Iowa State University to major in animal science.
