Washington County 4-H seeks to honor the group’s senior members by shining the spotlight on each one as they near the end of their 4-H journey. Today the spotlight shines on Brynn Younge.
4-H Senior Feature: Brynn Younge

School: Mid Prairie High School
4-H Club: Limecreek Livewires
Projects: Swine, Cattle, Communication
4-H Activities: County Council, Livestock Judging Team, Bacon Buddies at the County and State Fair, Holiday Assistance Program & Cemetery Cleanup with my 4-H club, Saturday Kitchen through County Council.
Special 4-H Memory: I have always cherished spending county fairs showing with my cousins/family by my side and winning the Iowa State Fair Market Hog Show in 2021.
Reflection on 4-H:
“In 4-H, I learned many valuable life skills such as leadership, responsibility, and teamwork. 4-H helped me grow my confidence while teaching me that determination and hard work pays off. I highly recommend others to join because it offers opportunities to explore new interests, make lifelong friendships, and positively impact the community. It’s a great way to develop skills that will benefit both personal and professional growth.”
