Washington County 4-H seeks to honor the group’s senior members by shining the spotlight on each one as they near the end of their 4-H journey. Today the spotlight shines on Grace Skelton.

4-H Club: Bows and Bullets
Projects: Photography, Food and Nutrition, Dog, Sheep
4-H Activities: County Council, Club Officer, Saturday Kitchen, Sweetheart Dance, Bows and Bullets Fair Demo, Volunteering at Parkview Nursing Home in Wayland, SESS Summer and Winter Postal Shooting, SESS Postal State Shoot.
Special 4-H Memory: My favorite 4-H memory is growing up in the barns with my sisters, and being able to grow as a showman and as a person.
Reflection on 4-H: “Others should join 4-H because you not only learn more about livestock and the Ag industry but also important life skills like public speaking, interview etiquette, communication and organizational skills, responsibility, and also how to get out of your comfort zone.”
Other Activities: Student Government, FFA, National Honor Society, Yearbook Editor, Softball, Track, Archery, and Youth Group Leadership Team.
Future Plans: I plan to attend Iowa State in the Fall to major in Agricultural Studies.
