Washington County 4-H seeks to honor the group’s senior members by shining the spotlight on each one as they near the end of their 4-H journey. Today the spotlight shines on Kelsi Cerny.

Projects: Photography, Horticulture, Surprise Design, & Static Exhibits
Activities: County Council, Counselor at Junior Camp, Club Secretary (2 years), Club Community Service Chair, Club Service Projects, & Hay Bale Decorating
Special 4-H memory/highlight: Getting to be a part of the Rubber Ducky cabin at 4-H Junior Camp and becoming besties with all of my campers.
Please write a few complete sentences about what you learned in 4-H, or why others should join 4-H.
4-H has taught me a variety of skills like leadership, communication, and responsibility. It has also given me an opportunity to meet new people and make friends from different schools that I otherwise wouldn’t have. Others should join 4-H as it has many amazing opportunities and teaches kids valuable life long skills.
Other Activities: Volleyball, Basketball, Golf, Student Council, Yearbook, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Kirkwood Student Ambassador, Musical, & Spring Play
Future plans: Attend Illinois State University to major in Construction Management
