Washington County 4-H seeks to honor the group’s senior members by shining the spotlight on each one as they near the end of their 4-H journey. Today the spotlight shines on Tess Berdo

Projects: Beef, Bucket Bottle Calf, & Communications
4-H Activities: Little Hands on the Farm, Clover Kid Bucket Bottle Calf Mentoring, Hay Bale Decorating, Fair Work Night, Club Secretary, Club Vice President, and Club President.
Special 4-H memory/highlight: One of my favorite 4-H memories is working with my club each year in June to help the fair board prep for the county fair.

“4-H has taught me important leadership skills and helped me step out of my comfort zone to try new things. I encourage others to join because of the wide array of opportunities and experiences available, as well as the chance to meet new people and form lasting connections.”
Future plans: I plan to attend Kansas State University in the fall to major in Agricultural & Natural Resources Communications.
