9th-12th grade 4-H’ers in Washington County are encouraged to get more involved and take their 4-H experience to the next level through the State Recognition Opportunities. There are many opportunities available for recognition awards or to represent Iowa in upcoming leaderships conferences on the state and national levels. These provide an avenue for youth recognition and to provide young people with an opportunity to practice and grow leadership, communications, and college and career readiness skills through application and interview activities. Opportunities include: National 4-H Conference (9th-11th grade); National 4-H Congress (grades 9-11); State 4-H Council (grades 10-11); State 4-H Project Awards (grades 9-12); Iowa 4-H Reporter Program (grades 9-12)
To apply for any of those state and/or national experiences, visit the website at https://www.extension.iastate.edu/4h/recognition-opportunities The selection process for the above opportunities will involve:
