Auditions open for next community theater play
Sep. 23, 2021 3:30 pm
March 2020. The first cases of COVID-19 were hitting Iowa. The Washington Community Theater was staging the play “Harvey.” It played for one night before the governor ordered a shutdown of all entertainment venues in Iowa.
Now more than a year and a half later the theater is holding auditions for its next show.
Auditions for “My Three Angels” will be held Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 4 and 5, from 6-8 p.m. at the Washington Community Theater.
The play is a comedy by Samuel and Bella Spewack. The cast calls for seven men of various ages and three women, one about 50, one 18 and one between 30 and 60.
Four performances are planned over a weekend in early December.
Scripts are available to check out from the Washington Free Public Library.
