Fresh Conversations to be held

Washington County Public Health will be providing Fresh Conversations. This program is a free Iowa HHS SNAP-Ed nutrition education program for older adults aged 60 years and up. It is designed to support healthy aging and independence.
The program is hosted on the last Thursday of the month at United Presbyterian Home in Washington from 10-10:30 a.m. in the Campbell Room. It is also hosted by Encore Express on the fourth Thursday of the month from noon-12:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington. Each month there is a current nutrition and health topic and a tasting of a low-cost healthy recipe. The topic for July will be vitamin D and the recipe is salmon patties.
