Dec. 22, 2022 3:12 pm
Washington County Regional Center welcomes Heather Mattocks-Orr to our staff! Heather brings a wealth of event planning and detailed organizational skills to the team that will be put to good use in her role as Continuing Education Coordinator.
Heather's largest task will be programming top quality continuing education courses for Washington County that are engaging, informative, and offer enrichment to community members' lives, including Kirkwood for Kids Summer Camp.
"I love to plan events and parties, and I am looking forward to being part of a team who make a difference in the lives of people in Washington County," Heather said. "I love how Kirkwood fulfills the needs of people in the community, and especially the opportunities offered to high school students through College Credit in High School."
Heather's varied work experience includes working as a dental assistant, in a veterinarian's office, and providing childcare in her home for children in the Wayland community for fifteen years. She has been a long time volunteer for Thrashers House of Terror, the haunted house at Midwest Old Threshers, working as both the costume coordinator and an actor. She is also a volunteer for Henry County Relay for Life's team Fall Crusaders that host the Daddy Daughter Dance and the Egg-Your-House fundraiser. Heather and her husband Seth live in Wayland with their son Ryker.
