WASHINGTON — The Washington Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the graduation of the 2024—2025 Leadership Washington class on Wednesday, May 14. The celebration took place at Halcyon House/Circa 59, located at 1015 S. Iowa Ave., Washington.
The graduation ceremony began with a special presentation featuring guest speakers from several of Washington’s outstanding nonprofit and volunteer-based organizations, including PLANT Washington, Friends of Lake Darling, Washington Farmers’ Market, Washington’s Y’s Men and Women’s Club, Paws & More, and The Lighthouse Center. These local nonprofits highlighted the spirit of service and community that defines Leadership Washington.
Following lunch, the official graduation ceremony recognized the accomplishments of this year’s participants. The day concluded with an in-progress tour and celebratory toast at a new business that will be opening this summer (current estimated opening date is August), Libations on Iowa, located at 106 S. Iowa Ave, with owner Megan Libe. Graduates were given a tour of the upcoming business which will feature over 16 beers on tap, appetizers, an open-concept kitchen, and an Airbnb.
Applications Now Open for 2025—2026 Leadership Washington Class
The Chamber is also pleased to announce that applications are now open for the next Leadership Washington class, which will begin on Sept. 10, 2025. The program is limited to 25 participants, and the application deadline is June 15. Due to high interest, early submission is strongly encouraged.
Leadership Washington offers an in-depth look at the people, organizations, and institutions that make the Washington community thrive. Participants gain valuable connections, insight into local issues, and the skills needed to be effective leaders.
