Washington alum wins university leadership award

Jenna Messer, daughter of Mark and Julie Messer, was awarded the National Panhellenic Council’s Living Our Values Award from Truman State University’s Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) for her leadership, service, and dedication to Delta Phi Epsilon, Truman State University, and Kirkville community. FLS’s values are Scholarship, Leadership, Unity, and Growth.
An awards ceremony for Truman State University’s 2025 Leadership Recognition Program took place April 8 in Kirksville, Missouri to honor Truman students, organizations and advisers for their dedication to their peers, campus and community through various leadership roles during the 2024-2025 academic year.
Jenna Messer is a third-year Communication Disorder major with Elementary & Special Education and Child Studies minors, on track to graduate in December 2025 and then continue on to graduate school to become a speech-language pathologist. She graduated from Washington High School in 2022.
