Washington couple marks 65 years of marriage

James and Karen (Swanson) Gorham of Washington, Iowa are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 21, 1960, at the Methodist Church in Washington. They are happy to be living in their hometown where they met, grew up and raised their family.
Their children are David of Ankeny, Iowa; Patricia of New York City, and Pamela of Olathe, Kansas. They have six grandchildren: Leeann, Nicholas, Zoe, Samuel, Maria and Kara. They also have two great-grandchildren, Inayah and Elijah.
The family celebrated the event at their home in Washington the weekend of July 25-27.
