WASHINGTON – Washington County Hospital and Clinics is pleased to offer “SPEAK OUT!” a monthly therapy program designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s disease strengthen their voice, improve communication, and connect with others in a welcoming, supportive setting.
Facilitated by Speech Therapist Stephen Loew at WCHC, this group is based on the evidence-based SPEAK OUT! program developed by the Parkinson Voice Project. The approach focuses on teaching participants to "speak with intent," helping to preserve speech and swallowing abilities commonly affected by Parkinson’s.
“This group gives individuals the tools to use their voice with purpose and confidence,” said Loew. “It’s also a great opportunity for participants to build community and feel supported by others on a similar journey.”
