Wellman library to hold puzzle-based fundraiser

Calling all puzzle enthusiasts! With the support of Ravensberger puzzles, the Wellman Public Library is gearing up for their upcoming Puzzle Competition Fundraiser. The event will take place on June 21 at the Parkside Activity Center in Wellman.

This fundraiser will help support the library as they continue to offer a large variety of programming, including evening programming for adults and families. Beginning in August of 2024, the library extended their Tuesday hours in order to provide easier access to programming.

Through their series of Tuesday evening events, the community has been able to taste the flavors of countries such as Pakistan, Vietnam, Spain, Ethiopia, and more through their Cook Around the World series. They have explored the creative arts of painting, string art, paint pouring, and more. They have learned about gardening, gluten free baking, and traveling Italy. From Tea Parties to Murder on the Menu, the community has enjoyed gathering.

For the Puzzle Competition Fundraiser, teams will have 90 minutes to complete a 500-piece puzzle. The first round will feature teams of two, beginning at 5 p.m. The second round will feature teams of four, beginning at 7 p.m. Participants are welcome to register their teams for one or both rounds. Each round is $10/person.
