White Cloud Club meets; Fall rummage sale coming up

The White Cloud Club met Sunday evening, Aug. 1, at the United Church of Crawfordsville Fellowship Hall for their annual potluck. Hostesses were Pat Miller and Pauline Richardson.
Pauline called a short business meeting following the supper and discussion and planning of their upcoming club tour on Sept. 7 was held. The group will meet at the church parking lot at 10:15 a.m. to go out to lunch. The tour committee of Jolene Colthurst, Margaret Patterson and Betty Lintz will be making arrangements.
Three Secret Sister gifts were received. A donation will be given to the church for the use of the building. Attending were eight members, five husbands and three guests.
The meeting adjourned and visiting continued.
Fall rummage sale
The fall rummage sale will be at the United Church of Crawfordsville on the following days: Wednesday, Sept. 1 from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m.; Thursday, Sept. 2 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 3 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 4 from 8 a.m.-noon. Everything will be offered for a free-will donation.
There will be clothing of all sizes for all ages, toys, books, household items, possible furniture and miscellaneous items to fit everyone's needs.
Donations may be brought to the church anytime during the week of Aug. 22. Residents are asked to put their items in the northwest room in an orderly manner. Items are expected to be clean and in working order. Small electrical appliances will be accepted.
Anyone who would like to work at the sale is encouraged to do so. A signup sheet will be on a table in the narthex, or you may contact one of the committee members, Cathy Williams, Linda Wiltfang or Donna Fletcher. Short shifts will try to be set up, but help is also needed to straighten and organize. Set up for the sale will be Monday, Aug. 30 and Tuesday, Aug. 31, beginning at 8 a.m. Men and women are needed to pack up after the sale comes to a finish on Saturday noon.
Everyone come out and make this an outstanding sale since the church hasn't had one in two years due to COVID.
