Ainsworth will host craft show in November

The Ainsworth Sacha Club will host its 48th Annual Craft Show on Nov. 4, 2023.
Twelve members attended our meeting Sept. 25, 2023.
Plans are being made for the Craft Show on Nov. 4 at the Highland Middle School Gym from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chairperson, Brenda Bean reported she is still taking vendors for this event.
Vendors interested in table space should contact her at 319-461-1637. Lunch will be available.
A publicity committee will be posting flyers in all the area communities.
Devon Worthington-Bentley presented an idea for a community wide bulletin board. Discussion held about cost, and location. Members voted to consider this project. Devon will discuss with the city council.
Marr Park is having their annual Halloween Hike on October 14th. Members donating the cookies for this event are: Rocky Roberts, Linda Lord, Ann Freyenberger, Jolene Colthurst, Brenda Bean, Devon Worthington-Bentley and Karen Megchelsen.
The Book Fair at Riverside Elementary School will be Oct. 4 and 11th. Brenda Bean is coordinating this for the school and ask for a volunteer for each date. Rocky Roberts will do Oct. 4, and Emily Piette will do October 11th.
Ann Freyenberger presented a program on Pathways of Washington County. There will be a FREE Community Training on Saturday Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. — 4 p.m. at the Washington United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Lunch will be provided. The purpose is to gain a community approach to poverty, learn about accurate models of poverty and how we can build long term support for this program. Many communities have been very successful with this program.
Next meeting will be Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. Program — decorate Holiday Cookies for the Craft Show. Hostess: Linda Lord.
