WINFIELD — The April WAGG (Winfield Area Grateful Gathering) Event will feature Winfield-Mt. Union Community School’s very own Matthew Sheyko.
Sheyko and a few of his friends from the North Liberty area will entertain and inspire the Winfield community attendees at the Event held on Saturday, April 6, at 5 p.m. hosted at Winfield’s First Presbyterian Church.
For the last four years Sheyko has taught social studies at WMU Community Schools. During this time, he has also coached and mentored students through a variety of avenues. He considers himself privileged to help lead students in track, planning prom, FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), and group speech.
A passion for working with young adults also translates into his life outside of work through volunteering at his church Grace Community Church in North Liberty where he leads Bible studies with students and helps with the youth band, playing with them occasionally. The band performing for the WAGG event will feature a variety of students from the youth group and leaders as well.
Join us for the April WAGG Event along with a time of fellowship following the musical presentation. All are welcome.
