On Thursday, September 25, 2025, the Winfield Lions Club provided a roast beef dinner for the Danville Lions Club and community volunteers for helping with parking at Old Threshers Reunion. The event was hosted by Lions members, Donna and Larry Montross in their well equipped farm shed. They cooked roast beef and the Winfield members provided a large number of side dishes and desserts.
For several years, the Danville club has joined with the Winfield club to take money for parking at Old Threshers. Shifts begin at 6 am and last three and one half hours. There are three shifts daily with three people at each parking lot. This is a win- win arrangement for both clubs to raise money for their various projects.
Lion Ben Johnson provided a musical game and entertained us with some sing alongs. A trivia game about Lions Club International and Old Threshers Reunion was given by Lion Corriene Culver. Additionally, Lion Joan Thompson’s birthday was celebrated that evening.
Honored guest was Terry McWilliams, head of the Old Threshers Reunion. Mr. Mc Williams reviewed how the reunion went and thanked the clubs and volunteers for their service.
