June WAGG event features student performances
Jun. 8, 2023 1:48 pm
Winfield’s June WAGG (Winfield Area Grateful Gathering) will feature some fine WMU student musicians on Saturday, June 17, at 4 p.m.
There are numerous WMU students who have been blessed with performing arts talents in music, speech/drama and art. We are fortunate to have a few talented individuals perform at Winfield’s First Presbyterian Church on South Locust.
In no particular order:
Brayden Cline is 13 and completing seventh grade at WMU School. He plays the piano “by ear,” has had no lessons, and has always taught himself by listening to various songs. He loves classical music. Brayden has been playing the piano for about four years. His “grammy” (Peggy Beaty) has been a big influence on the piano and helping Brayden. He is also teaching himself how to play the bass guitar. Brayden loves soccer, basketball, and hanging out with his buddies (Collin, Kade, Cruz and Kale). He also loves his two dogs, Spotty and Hank.
Brynn Pogmore has been a freshman at WMU this school year. She participates in band, jazz band (playing the trombone), and sings soprano in choir. Brynn has been a singer since her toddler days. Additionally, she is a talented artist and writer.
Gabe Hemsworth is finishing his junior year at WMU. As shared by his mom, “He has been playing the guitar for the last 10 years, but not seriously until the last two. He has been singing ever since he could talk.” Gabe also sings/is a musician in the Hemsworth Family band, which is active in the New London Christian Church worship services and has been featured at several previous WAGG events.
All are welcome to join us! Come and enjoy a time of entertainment by these brave and God-gifted WMU youth. After the performances, there will be a time for fellowship and refreshments. Bring a friend and be a part of the Winfield Area Grateful Gathering.
