Legion Auxiliary to distribute poppies

The poppy represents the sacrifice of the veteran. Connecting the
visual image of the poppy with the sacrifices made by our veterans has
been the goal of the American Legion Auxiliary since the Poppy Program
began in 1921.
The local Unit #643 in Winfield will be distributing poppies Friday
morning, May 26 at Casey's and the Post Office.
There will also be
a container at both banks for donations from May 15-26.
Please wear a poppy to support the veteran.
