New London middle schoolers take on Danville

New London middle schoolers played Danville on Feb. 26, with mixed results as the young Tigers rounded out their season.
The seventh grade boys basketball had New London playing catch-up, with a 45 to 53 loss. Kellan Porter had 38 points for the Tigers,. Reed Lindsey scored five, and Zane Long added two.
In eighth grade, however, Tigers dominated on both ends of the court as they trounced the Bears, 43 — 16, holding Danville scoreless in the second quarter. Leading the Tiger attack was Jaece Deterding with 12. Cole Swanson was close behind with 11. Gavin Strawhacker added 10. Dylan Burden had six and Owen Severson and Kinnick Butterbaugh each had two.
