Named to the dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester at Southeastern Community College from Winfield was Isaac Berry, Derek Dietrich, Grace Edwards, Shane Tilton, and Steffanie Watson.

Graduating from Southeastern Community College from Winfield was Derek Dietrich, Animation AAS; Bailey Huddleston, Nursing Diploma (LPN); Jon Klopfenstein, Agriculture Management AAS; Alexandra Mullen, Nursing AAS (ADN); and Shane Tilton, Welding Diploma.

Wilma Dillon of Winfield celebrated her 90th birthday on July 6, 2005.

Heather Lauderdale was honored with a bridal shower on June 25, given by Janet and Courtney Everett and Janet Parcell. Heather Lauderdale and Michael Kruger are to be married July 29 at the Winfield Presbyterian Church.

Phil Marshall hit a hole-in-one on the number one hole at Twin Lakes, using a 4 wood to tee off on the 149th yard hole.

Betty and Clark Crawford were awarded the ‘June Yard of the Month.’

1990

Jeffrey Beaman, age 23, of Winfield, remains in the University of Iowa Hospital where he was taken last Tuesday by air ambulance after being stabbed in a grocery store parking lot in Mt. Pleasant.

Michelle Kelley and Todd Trimble have announced their engagement and are planning an August 18 wedding.

1985

Winfield Firemen answered a fire call to a corncrib owned by Bub Kepper on June 19.

Mary Lauer, age 88, died June 25, 1985, at her home in Winfield.

Lavonne Schoolen Goodman and Jeffrey Christianson were married at the Botanical Gardens in Des Moines.
