Apr. 4, 2024 12:19 pm
The Winfield Historical Society & Museum will present “The Importance of Quilts & Textiles during the Civil War” on Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at the Winfield VFW building.
Author and quilting expert Becky Wright will appear in period costume to share an amazing story about a civil war soldier and a quilt he made. Wright has extensive knowledge about quilting and civil war textiles and has written a book on the subject which she will share it with us.
This program will be of interest to men, women and anyone interested in civil war history. We look forward to seeing quilters, civil war enthusiasts and museum supporters. All are welcome to attend.
Free will donations will be accepted for renovations of our new location that will house the Winfield Museum in the future. This spring renovations will be replacing the big front windows that are broken with a fresh new look. Your donations are greatly appreciated and helps us be that much closer to moving into a bigger space. So watch for good things to come!
Refreshments will follow the presentation.
