WEDNESDAY STUDY CLUB
The Crawfordsville Wednesday Study Club met at the Frontier Restaurant in Washington at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023.
Enjoying pie and coffee and ice cream as they socialized were Ruth Erwin, Rachel Koehler, Debbie Lowe, Joyce Roth, Janice Twinam, Cathy Williams and Linda Wiltfang.
Some book briefs were given and books were shared. Debbie read an article from the Reminisce magazine entitled "Good Hair Days" by Emily Tyra which gave some history about curling irons, hair dryers, hair creams, etc.
Rachel shared the history of the song, "Love Me Tender."
Arrangements for the meeting were made by Rachel, who also provided the ladies with candy treats.
The next meeting will be held March 15, 2023, time and place to be announced. Rachel will be hostess.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT
Chayse Edwin McClain was born Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023 at Mercy Hospital at 7:29 p.m. weighing in at 8 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20 1/2 in long. His proud parents are Chris and Angela. Local grandparents are Scott and Jeanne Davis.
PANCAKE SUPPER
The Crawfordsville Lions Pancake Supper Saturday evening, Feb. 18 was a great success with over 200 enjoying pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and drinks. They also had Bacon, Pork Chops and Sausage for customers to buy.
FFA DRIVE A TRACTOR TO SCHOOL DAY
Wednesday, Feb. 22 was FFA Drive Your Tractor to School Day at WACO. Thirteen drove to school in the pouring rain, meeting at Eichelbergers by the grain bins and going in together. One brave girl from Crawfordsville, Zoey Dennler was the only one driving a tractor without a cab! Way to go, Zoey!
