Swedesburg Lutheran Church to host free concert
They will hold a piano and organ duet concert later this month

SWEDESBURG — Dr. Brett and Marita Wolgast will give a piano and organ duet concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21 at Swedesburg Lutheran Church.
Both have served on the Music Ministry staff at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids for over 30 years. They both have been on the music faculty at Coe College for most of that time as well.
Brett received his Bachelor of Music degree from Kansas State University. He completed graduate work at the University of Iowa. He received nationwide recognition by winning two national organ competitions. He has performed throughout the United States as well as for church and civic concerts.
Marita received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Kansas State University. She completed graduate studies at Arizona State. She has frequently performed as an accompanist and collaborative musician with the Coe College faculty and the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale.
The concert is free and open to the public at Swedesburg Church. There will be a free will offering for the church’s organ fund.

Two other organ concerts are scheduled for March 3 and April 7.
