Three Wayland residents charged with multiple theft counts

On April 21 at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 300 block of West Easy Street, Wayland and the 1000 grid of 110th Street, Wayland.

This search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into several complaints of theft from a business in Wayland.

As a result of the investigation, Curtis Wagler, 48 of Wayland, Lori Wagler, 49 of Wayland and Owen Wagler, 20, of Wayland were each arrested and charged with the following:

• One count of Ongoing Criminal Conduct (Class B felony).

• Four counts of Theft in the 1st Degree (Class C felony).

• Five counts of Theft in the 2nd Degree (Class D felony).

The defendants were taken to the Henry County Jail, and held, pending an initial court appearance.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wayland Police Department.
