WINFIELD — The October WAGG (Winfield Area Grateful Gathering) Event is coordinated with Pastor Appreciation Month. Area ministers, as well as Sunrise Terrace’s chaplain and the Snyder-Hollenbaugh Funeral Home directors, will be recognized and honored.
The Event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Winfield’s United Methodist Church. A lasagna meal will begin the evening at 5:30, followed by the recognition program.
The Winfield area, and surrounding areas, have been blessed with our pastoral care over the years. We want to show our appreciation to those who are on-call 24/7.
Recognizing that ministers are not only leading Sunday morning worship services, but also are instrumental in our lives, with major celebrations of marriages and baptisms, providing counseling sessions, hospital and home visits, and celebrations of life/funeral services.
Along with these important personal and individual services, our pastors provide congregational care and guidance in the spiritual growth of the church families and area communities.
The WAGG community members will be able to share in our gratitude for these individuals, who give their time and talents to us, as they serve God and our communities.
Help us to say THANK YOU to our area ministers and funeral home directors of Winfield, Mt. Union, Olds, Swedesburg, Crawfordsville, Spring Run and Morning Sun.
All are welcome to join us for a meal and celebration of those who give us pastoral care. A freewill offering will be received for future WAGG events.
