To celebrate the long awaited move to their new facilities, the Winfield Food Pantry (Formerly known as MOPS) is hosting an open house, Sunday, April 28, from 2-4 p.m. at their new location 107 East Elm Street, in what used to be the Winfield Beacon Office.
In late March, volunteers from the community pitched in to move the pantry into the new location. Previously, the pantry was housed in the basement of the Winfield United Methodist Church.
The Winfield Food Pantry served approximately 41 families in 2023, with a total number of 113 individuals served, which is a major increase from serving 16 families in 2022 with a total of 32 individuals served.
