Just in time for Halloween, seven ladies and their instructor, Linda Johnson gathered at the Winfield Public library to help provide transportation for any Halloween witches that may be visiting Winfield on Halloween or, if no witches are in need of a fully loaded broom, they can (and most likely) will be used as Halloween decorations.
Using a toilet plunger for the base, string taken from a mop was glued all around the mop handle, twine, rope, or ribbon was them wrapped around the top of the mop and various decorations were used to complete the project. Fun and fellowship prevailed as ladies glued, snipped and tied the materials while sharing help and conversation.
Everyone agreed it was a fun way to spend a couple of hours. If you would like to come and craft (no talent needed, and supplies are free) stop by the library to find out when and what the November project will be. Everyone is welcome.
