Players were Cindy Messer, Kelly Stewart, Patty Booth, Lisa Northup, Gloria Watson, Mandy Noles, Diana Repp, Patti Hauenstein, Pam Craff, Cathy Canby, Bobbi Sinn, Amy Krieger, Kath Visser, and Trish Kongable.
Dan and Kim (Miller) Sheets are the parents of Joshua Miller Sheets, born Aug. 15.

Harold Amrine, age 48, was killed in a tractor accident Aug. 15 when a converted tractor he was driving upset pinning him beneath it.

Winnie Marie Johnson Clark died Aug. 23 at her home while visiting with her son, Leo. Her husband, John Edward, died July 19, 1970.
Nancy Lee Schlatter and Dale Benjamin Roth were married Aug. 15.

Arliss and Carol (Stauffer) Swartzendruber are the parents of Theresa Ann, born Aug. 19.
Emma Weineke, 36, Ida Wieneke, 61, and Jerry cline and Eugene Snider, all of Brighton, received minor injuries when their car struck and killed a cow, owned by Dwight Smith, north of Trenton on the blacktop road.

Dr. B.D. Roberts, MD, began his practice in the purchased Dr. E.C. Allen offices. Dr. Roberts and family moved here from Detroit.
Max Alter, 27-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Alter, drowned in the Skunk River east of Rome.
1925
Severe hail and wind hit the Wayland area, hailstones from 6 to 8 inches in circumference fell. The corn crop in many places was ruined.
