The WalMart Foundation presented WACO Elementary with a check for $2500. The money will be used to renovate the upper playground.

2010

Nashville recording artist Jake McVey, formerly of Crawfordsville, performed at the WACO Elementary School Sept. 26 as a fundraiser for the playground for the preschool at the Crawfordsville Center.

2005

Groundbreaking was held at Parkview for their new expansion on Sept. 24.

Mike Roth presented Mark Kaufman with the WACO Wall of Fame plaque. Kaufman started AthletiCo, which is affiliated with several professional teams.

Brittney Lunsford and Cameron McBeth were announced as WACO’s Homecoming Queen and King for 2005.

Gov. Vilsack visited Amanda Messer’s third grade classroom.

The DOT has started work on the Skunk River bridge.

Airman First Class Daniel Canby graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, on Aug. 12, 2005.
