Future Plans and Goals: I am going to attend Iowa State University and major in landscape architecture and minor in Spanish or general business.

How will your high school experiences help you in the coming years: There were lots of college classes offered during high school which was a great way to prepare for the upcoming years; I have also had to opportunity to build teamwork skills through sports.

Fondest high school memory: My last high school volleyball game is my favorite memory. Although we ended up losing, that was the hardest I have ever fought for something. I also loved seeing my team and community come together to fight for something we all wanted.

Which teachers have had the biggest impact on you and why? The teacher that has had the biggest impact on me is Tresa Zaragoza otherwise known as Z. Z has taught me that I can do anything I set my mind to. I have always struggled the hardest with math, but with her help, I will be finishing high school with all of my college math done.

Who is your role model and how did they influence you?: My role models are parents. My mom has always taught me to look at both sides of the story before making a judgment and that skill will follow me for the rest of my life. My dad has taught me how to work hard for what I want and not to be afraid to take risks. He has recently started his own business and although it was a big risk, he is willing to work hard to be successful.

What is special about your high school? Our high school is special because we are so small. Everyone knows everyone, and the classes are usually small which helps with the teacher-student connection.

If you go back to when you were a freshman, what advice would you give your freshman self?: I would tell my freshman self to get involved in everything you can. There are still a few things I wish I would have tried or would have participated in sooner.
