How will your high school experiences help you in the coming years? Some of the most important things I’ve learned in high school are how to manage my time, how to prioritize school work and free time, how to study, and how to take time for myself.
Fondest memory of high school: One of my fondest memories of high school was qualifying for the National Leadership Conference my freshman year for my group FBLA project. My group had the opportunity to go to San Antonio that summer where we competed our business project in front of judges, explored San Antonio, and met many new people.
Which teachers have had the biggest impact on you and why? One of the teachers that had the biggest impact on me is Mrs. Higgins, who taught pre-calculus my junior year and AP calculus my senior year. During our all-online periods during the 2021 school year she went the extra mile to make it an easier and fun situation for all students.
Who is your role model and how did they influence you? My biggest role models are simply my mom and dad. They have influenced me to live a life full of dedication, perspective, and gratitude.
What is special about your high school? Something special about Fairfield High School is the way it allows students to get involved in so many different extracurricular activities.
If you go back to when you were a freshman, what advice would you give yourself? If I could give my freshman self advice, I would say don’t try to be perfect. There is no sense dwelling over the negatives. It is ok to move past things and focus on what you have control over.
