How will your high school experiences help you in the coming years? I participated in many activities in high school and with this I have learned time management, teamwork, working towards goals, and preparing for the future.
Fondest memory of high school: My fondest memory in high school was when I was inducted into the National Honors Society.
Which teachers have had the biggest impact on you and why? Jane Edwards and Zach Jamison have had the biggest impact on me and in my high school years. Jane makes sure that all of us are staying on top of our grades and studies in school, pushes us outside our comfort zone to try new things and always wants us to achieve our goals at our full potential. Zach Jamison is my FFA advisor and my Ag teacher. He is not only a great teacher, but also a wonderful mentor.
Who is our role model and how did they influence you? I would have to say my role models are my parents, especially my dad. My dad was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer three years ago. My dad lost his job due to his illness and my family lost all of our health insurance benefits, etc. My mom needed to go back to work, and it was a very difficult time financially for my parents. They always remained in good spirits and stayed positive.
What is special about your high school? I love the fact that our school is small, and it allows anyone and everyone to participate in everything. Being able to participate in all the different activities allows us to be well rounded and learn time management as well.
If you go back to when you were a freshman, what advice would you give yourself? I would tell myself to enjoy school more and to take your studies seriously.
